Casting Director job - Amuwo-Odofin

We are looking for a Casting Director to organize castings and select actors for film or stage. Your job will determine the final success of the production as the right person should be in the right role.
rnWe expect candidates to be very knowledgeable of acting principles and the unique requirements of film and theater. An instinct to discern talent and determine the best fit for each role, no matter how small, is the most important success factor in this job.
rnThe goal is to ensure productions will have the most appropriate team of actors for every role.
rnResponsibilities
rnStudy script to understand all speaking roles
rnCollaborate with directors and producers to determine a role’s requirements (physical characteristics, experience etc.)
rnPrepare casting budget with the help of accountants
rnContact agents directly to source ideal actors
rnReview resumes and call suitable actors
rnOrganize auditions and readings
rnInterview actors and determine their suitability for the part
rnDetermine actor’s fees
rnNegotiate contracts to achieve mutual satisfaction
rnSupervise other staff (e.g. casting assistants)
rnRequirements
rnProven experience as casting director
rnCurrent knowledge of available acting talent
rnAbility to maintain knowledge of industry trends
rnInstinct to recognize talent
rnExcellent organizational and leadership skills
rnOutstanding communication and interpersonal ability
rnGreat negotiation skills
rnA team player
rnHigh school diplomal; further education in film, arts or relevant field is a plus
rn
rnApplicant must have at least 1 and above years of experience in these field of specialization.
