rnMain purpose of job:
rn
rnTo support delivery of company information through proactive communications.Using mainstream, specialist and social media to raise awareness of the company's activity and influence policy thinking.

rnRoles and responsibilities :
rn
rnTo communicate the company's information in media. Draft and issue press releases and advise the company's officials and other senior officers on interactions with the media.
rnLead on organising events, photocalls, press conference, interviews and other media opportunities, working closely with staff from across different departments and teams.
rnTo build social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, thorugh regular updating with relevant, interesting, targeted content.
rnMaintain an effective list of contacts, covering all aspects of communications work.
rnProvide support and cover for the BHC Political Officer, including insight and analysis into Tanzanian politics and current affairs.
rnEssential qualifications and experience
rnExcellent written, verbal, interpersonal communications, active listening skills
rn
rnFluent in both english
rn
rnThorough understanding of the media environment in Lagos including digital media.
rn
rn
rnDesirable qualifications and experience
rnCommunications experience
rnExperience organising events / conferences / marketing etc.
rnPolitical acumen
rnBachelors degree
rn
rnRequired competencies
