Corporate Treasurer Ibeju/Lekki

Corporate treasurers undertake a range of risk, strategic and/or general financial management activities that enable companies to maintain or improve/maximise their financial position.
rnCorporate treasurers are employed by major/multinational companies operating within a range of industries including retail, telecommunications and manufacturing.
rnTypical responsibilities of the job comprise of:
rnassessing, reviewing and protecting company financial wellbeing
rnensuring cash flow is adequate
rnhandling daily cash balances and the money market
rnensuring that proposed projects are likely to be beneficial
rnmanaging major projects such as company refinancing
rnassessing the likely impact of problems such as late payments, limited cash flow etc
rnmaking decisions about company funding options, insurance contracts and other financial issues
rncarrying out risk management activities
rnliaising with company investors, bankers and senior managers
rnnegotiating and evaluating overdrafts and loans with bankers
rnproblem solving
rnplanning
rnwriting reports
rnmaintaining records
rnrecruiting, training and supervising junior staff
rnattending board meetings
rnmaking company board presentations
rnQualifications and training required
rnA good honours degree (min 2.1) in a subject such as business studies, management, accountancy, finance, mathematics or economics is usually required for entry into the profession. Relevant paid or voluntary experience gained via job shadowing, vacation work and internships is particularly beneficial.
rnKey skills for corporate treasurers
rnEmployers look for adaptable graduates with good IT, analytical, interpersonal, numerical, time management and verbal/written communication skills. Familiarity with how the money markets operate and the work of corporate treasury departments is advantageous.
