Senior Accountant - Ibeju/Lekki

Responsibilities
rn
rnVerify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
rnProduce error-free accounting reports and present their results
rnAnalyse financial information and summarize financial status
rnProvide technical support and advice on management
rnReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
rnManage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
rnParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
rnProvide input into department’s goal setting process
rnPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
rnDirect internal and external audits to ensure compliance
rnPlan, assign and review staff’s work
rnSupport month-end and year-end close process
rnDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

rnRequirements
rn
rnProven experience as a controller, senior or chief accountant
rnThorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
rnAwareness of business trends
rnExperience with creating financial accounting statements
rnExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
rnExcellent accounting software user and administration skills
rnAccuracy and attention to detail
rnAptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
rnBS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
