Billing Clerk - Ikeja

rnResponsibilities
rn
rn Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
rn Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.)
rn Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
rn Issue invoices and bills and sent them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc.)
rn Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
rn Receive payments through various methods (cash, online payments etc.) and check for credibility
rn Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned
rn Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
rn Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills
rn Report on activity to upper management

rnRequirements
rn
rn Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience
rn Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
rn Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Quickbooks) will be appreciated
rn Excellent math ability
rn Good organizational skills
rn Excellent communication skills
rn High school diploma; further education will be a plus

rnQUALIFICATION
rn1. Minimum of Bsc in the relevant field
rn2. Ability to lead a team successfully
rn3. Must be result oriented
rn4. Must have good communication skills
rn5. Working experience is an added advantage
