Health Unith Coordinator - Ikeja

We are looking for a competent Health Unit Coordinator to undertake all secretarial tasks necessary for our medical operations. You’ll be the facilitator of meaningful communication between medical staff and the go-to person for the unit’s administrative needs.

rnThe facility’s smooth operation is a HUC’s primary goal. You will ensure that information is stored and disseminated correctly between medical staff and to patients.

rnResponsibilities
rn
rn Maintain medical charts and graph vital signs
rn Issue or locate documents (birth/death certificates, discharge notes etc.)
rn Greet patients and hand out forms
rn Keep appointment calendar and other schedules
rn Transcribe doctor’s orders
rn Update databases with patient information
rn Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff
rn Order supplies when needed
rn Undertake other duties as assigned

rnRequirements
rn
rn Experience using medical records and databases
rn Good knowledge of relevant medical terminology
rn Experience in medical transcription is a plus
rn Outstanding communication and customer service ability
rn Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
rn Team player Proven experience as health unit coordinator or similar role
rn BSc in Medical field
rn Successful completion of a HUC training program is preferred
rn Professional certification is a plus
