Accounting Manager - Lagos Island

Responsibilities

rnManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
rnmonth and end-year process
rnaccounts payable/receivable
rncash receipts
rngeneral ledger
rnpayroll and utilities
rntreasury, budgeting
rncash forecasting
rnrevenue and expenditure variance analysis
rncapital assets reconciliations
rntrust account statement reconciliations,
rncheck runs
rnfixed asset activity
rndebt activity
rnMonitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
rnEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
rnCoordinate and complete annual audits
rnProvide recommendations
rnImprove systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
rnAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
rnMeet financial accounting objectives
rnEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
rnRequirements
rn
rnProven working experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager
rnAdvanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
rnAbility to manipulate large amounts of data
rnProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
rnHigh attention to detail and accuracy
rnAbility to direct and supervise
rnBS degree in Accounting or Finance

rnApplicant must have at least 1 and above years of experience in these field of specialization.

rnAll applicants should have a minimum of HND, BACHELOR'S DEGREE and other related discipline of this vacant and professional certification is an added advantage.
