Budget Analyst - Lagos Island

We are looking for a reliable Budget Analyst to help us in effective budget planning and spending. You will conduct reviews of budget proposals and analyses of data to determine the correct allocation of funding.
rnA budget analyst must have a strong mathematical mind and an ability to think critically. You should also be knowledgeable about all legal regulations pertaining to budgeting. We want to see candidates with strong attention to detail, writing skills and excellent communication ability.

rnResponsibilities:
rn
rnReview budget proposals and funding requests
rnConduct cost/benefit and other types of analyses
rnSubmit budget recommendations for approval or rejection of funding requests
rnExplain and defend recommendations to management and stakeholders
rnCollaborate with managers to develop final consolidated budget
rnEnsure the organization’s budget adheres to legal regulations
rnOversee expenditure and identify trends in spending
rnMake forecasts for future budget needs
rnSuggest improvements to increase profits (e.g. spending cuts)
rnPrepare periodical and special reports

rnRequirements and Skills:
rn
rnProven experience as budget analyst
rnKnowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
rnUnderstanding of budgeting and regulatory requirements
rnExcellent mathematical ability and an analytical mind
rnProficient in MS Office and databases; knowledge of graphic software is a plus
rnOutstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
rnAttention to detail

rnEducation and Experience:
rnApplicant must have at least 1 and above years of experience in these field of specialization.
rnAll applicants should have a minimum of HND, BACHELOR'S DEGREE and other related discipline of this vacant and professional certification is an added advantage.
