Employee performs phlebotomy and routine tests in a medical laboratory and maintains records.
rn Duties of the Job:
rn*1. Performs phlebotomy and processing of specimens to be sent to outside labs.
rn*2. Plants routine microbiology specimens.
rn*3. Performs routine tests and some specialized tests as ordered by medical professionals.
rn*4. Maintains quality control of specimen samples.
rn*5. Operates standard laboratory equipment and some specialized equipment.
rn*6. Reviews and processes orders for laboratory procedures for patients.
rn*7. Records testing information and files laboratory reports.
rn*8. Inventories and orders laboratory and office supplies.
rn*9. Communicates patient and laboratory information.
rn*10. Cleans and restocks laboratory facility.
rn*11. Maintains a safe environment in the laboratory.
rn*12. Supervises student or temporary employees during a minor portion of the employee's work
rntime.
rn 13. Assists in writing descriptions of routines necessary to perform tests.
rnEDUCATION QUALIFICATION :
rnA minimum in B.sc or HND in any related field.
