rnResponsibilities

rnAcquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand
rnSelect metrics to produce valid estimates
rnVisit sites, warehouses and other venues to gather essential information
rnReview documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data
rnAnalyze data and produce forecasts
rnPerform risk analysis
rnPrepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
rnSelect advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes
rnFoster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.)
rnRequirements
rn
rnProven experience as construction estimator
rnBasic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
rnDeep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics
rnComfortable with numbers and technology
