Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
rnDevelop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
rnMeet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timeline
rnControl the computer systems budgets and expenditures
rnTroubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
rnBe familiar with all hardware, software and network operating system
rnProvide orientation and training to staff of existing and potential technology
rn Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
rnMaintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
rnMaintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
rnMake recommendations about purchase of technology resources
rnInstall and connection of software and hardware
rnProvide network accounts and passwords as required
rnMonitor security of all technology
rnInput and maintain IP addresses
rnAdvise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
rnIdentify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
rnEnsure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
