Hotel Manager Lagos Island

An Organisation in lagos is looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel as well as provide strategic direction for all staff members and also to supervise the activities of an extensive and diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business.
rnRESPONSIBILITIES
rn Supervise work at all levels (receptionists, kitchen staff, maids, office employees etc.) and set clear objectives
rn Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model
rn Manage budgets & expenses, Understand and interpret financial information and monitor sales / profits & expenses.
rn Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services
rn Communicate with customers when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information etc.)
rn Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.
rn Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners etc.
rn Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
rnREQUIREMENTS
rnInterested applicants should be articulate and fairly educated. An OND, HND, BSc or any other qualification will be added advantage BUT not compulsory.
rnGood command of English language. (Ability to speak other Nigerian and International languages is a plus)
rnUnderstanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
rnWorking knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of hotel management software (PMS) is an advantage
rnExcellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
rnDemonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
rnReliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
rnOutstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail
