The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
rnHe/She oversees the entire HR function i.e. recruitment, onboarding, leave management, performance appraisal etc, for all employees within the geo-political zone under his/her supervision.
rnThe HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues.
rnThe successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent.
rnThe HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.
rnCommunicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions.
rnThe HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This position may include regional, national and international human resource responsibilities.
rnThe HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

rnSpecific Responsibilities:
rnThe candidate in his/her respective geo-political zone will:
rnCreate, update and manage employee details on the HRMS and Payroll software system.
rnConduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
rnProvide support to supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff.
rnEnsure that accurate job descriptions are in place.
rnProvide support with writing job descriptions.
rnProvide support when conducting staff performance evaluations.
rnCoordinate staff induction and orientation program.
rnMonitor daily attendance and investigate and understand causes for staff absence.
rnRecommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties.
rnProvide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions.
rnMonitor scheduled absences such as holidays or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of services.
rnPrepare notices and advertisements for vacant staff positions.
rnSchedule and organize interviews.
rnParticipate in applicant interviews.
rnConduct reference checks on possible candidates.
rnPrepare, develop and implement procedures and policies on staff recruitment.
rnPerform other related duties as assigned.

rnCompetencies/Skills required:
rnCommunication and Interpersonal relationship skills.
rnAttention to details.
rnComputer skills e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
rnBasic understanding of HR processes and procedures.
rnGood knowledge of filing.
rnAbility to use the computer system.
rnUse of basic HRIS
rnGood organisational skills
rnGood analytical skills
rnFlexibility and Personal Initiative
rnGood Administrative skills.
rnWillingness to work on weekends and travel long distance where and when required.

rnQualification and Experience:
rnMinimum of B.Sc./HND in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management or related field.
rn2-4 years relevant work experience in Human Resources.
rnApplicant must be between 24yrs-32yrs of age.
rnCIPM certification will be an added advantage.
