rnResponsibilities
rn
rn Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
rn Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
rn Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
rn Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
rn Process payments and refunds
rn Resolve billing and customer credit issues
rn Update account status records and collection efforts
rn Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
rn
rnRequirements
rn
rn Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
rn Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g. skip tracing)
rn Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g. FDCPA)
rn Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
rn Comfortable working with targets
rn Patience and ability to manage stress
rn Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
rn Skilled in negotiation
rn Problem-solving skills
rn High school diploma; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus
