Communications Specialist - Lagos Mainland

rnWe are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Specialist to manage our external and internal communications. You will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our company’s behalf.

rnPhenomenal communication and copywriting skills make a strong communications specialist. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities too. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you gain the trust of colleagues and external parties alike.

rnResponsibilities:
rn
rnDevelop effective corporate communication strategies
rnManage internal communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
rnDraft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media or company website
rnOrganize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
rnLiaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
rnFoster relationships with advocates and key persons
rnCollaborate with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles
rnPerform “damage control” in cases of bad publicity
rnFacilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors
rnAssist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
rn
rnRequirements:
rn
rnProven experience as communications specialist
rnExperience in web design and content production is a plus
rnExperience in copywriting and editing
rnSolid understanding of project management principles
rnWorking knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset
rnExcellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
rnOutstanding organizational and planning abilities
rnProficient command of English
rnBSc/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field
rnminimum of 3 to 5 years experience in this field
rn
