rnResponsibilities

rnPlan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
rnModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
rnEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
rnSupervise kitchen staff’s activities
rnArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
rnRecruit and manage kitchen staff
rnRectify arising problems or complaints
rnGive prepared plates the “final touch”
rnPerform administrative duties
rnComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
rnKeep time and payroll records
rnMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
rnRequirements
rn
rnProven working experience as a head chef
rnExcellent record of kitchen management
rnAbility to spot and resolve problems efficiently
rnCapable of delegating multiple tasks
rnCommunication and leadership skills
rnKeep up with cooking trends and best practices
