rnOur company is currently looking for a qualified Health Education Professional.
rnThe qualified candidate will help improve patient health outcomes by promoting healthy behaviors and supporting the recovery process.
rn
rnResponsibilities:
rnParticipate in health education training as appropriate
rnProvide health education visits, individual and/or group as appropriate, participate in outreach and health education activities as assigned
rnImplement and manage health education strategies, interventions and programs
rnTranslate clinical language and concepts into clear, simple and understandable information for patients and clients to maximize the potential for them to take reasonable action
rnAssess patient and client needs for health education, including change readiness
rnHelp develop, identify, implement and improve patient education material and other tools that encourage healthy decisions

rnQualifications:
rnCompletion of high school, supplemented by graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience required
rnPossession of CPR Certificate
rnMinimum 2 years experience in a health care setting strongly preferred
rnBasic understanding of primary and acute care
rnBasic knowledge of patient education principles; motivational interviewing a plus
rnThe ability to work cooperatively with others in a team based healthcare setting
rnThe ability to use good judgment in unusual and emergent situations
rnAbility to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
rnAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality
rnExcellent work habits: punctual, reliable, cooperative, team player
