Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
rnLeads and manages manufacturing engineering staff responsible for implementation and improvement activities related to machined parts
rnIs accountable for managing costs and determining efficient and effective engineering processes and procedures.
rnDetermines engineering schedules and productivity metrics.
rnUtilizes engineering resources to provide proficient process routings, machine programs, tooling and operation of engineering systems.
rnResearches, analyzes and determines effective use of technology and capital to improve overall engineering systems and process capabilities.
rnEstablishes training documentation regarding technical processes and systems, including robotics and man-machine interface.
rnEstablishes a strategy to propel the organization with the latest advancements with technical systems, i.e. cad/cam, simulation, monitoring, and machining equipment.
rnQualifications and Skills Required:
rnBachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering plus at least 10 years’ experience leading at least 5 technical resources, or equivalent experience.
rnPreferred at least 8 years of experience in the machining industry (turning and milling steel and aluminum) to include Project Management experience and leading a team in technical area.
rnKnowledge of lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
rnEffective leadership, delegation, and organizational skills.
rnDemonstrates strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze and solve practical to complex problems.
rnDemonstrates ability to lead a cross functional team and act as a facilitator to bring out the best possible solution to a problem.
