Material manager Lagos Mainland

Responsibilities
rnCollaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
rnPurchase supplies and materials according to specifications
rnCoordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
rnOversee distribution of supplies in the organization
rnControl inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
rnSupervise, evaluate and coach subordinates
rnMaintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers
rnKeep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
rnAssist in forecasting to plan future orders
rnRequirements
rnProven experience as materials manager
rnExperience in shipping and receiving
rnFamiliarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
rnUnderstanding of forecasting and budgeting
rnProficient in MS Office
rnExcellent organizational and leadership skills
rnHND/BSc in logistics or relevant field
