Responsibilities
rn
rnReceive and assist patients as needed
rnType medical documents (e.g. physician dictations and patient charts)
rnMaintain detailed patient and medical records
rnManage office communications (e.g. phone, correspondence)
rnSchedule medical appointments
rnWork with insurance companies to process claims
rnProcess invoices, bills and payments
rnEnsure confidentiality of sensitive information
rn
rnRequirements
rn
rnProven experience as a medical secretary or similar administrative position
rnKnowledge of medical terminology, regulations and medical office procedures; knowledge of medical coding is strongly desired
rnExperience processing insurance claims
rnFamiliarity with basic bookkeeping
rnKnowledge of MS Office, databases and EHR systems
rnOutstanding communication skills
rnPatience and discretion
rnOrganizational and multitasking skills
rnHND,BSC additional training in Medical Administration is a plus
