Responsibilities
rn
rnPerform a general evaluation of an application (financial documents, mortgage type etc.)
rnHelp client choose the most appropriate mortgage
rnGather all important data from client (assets, debts etc.)
rnVerify information and references by contacting the right sources
rnCorrect mistakes and investigate inconsistencies
rnSubmit completed loan files for appraisal
rnAct as point of contact between loan officers, underwriters and clients
rnConduct a final review of the file before closing
rnRequirements
rn
rnProven experience as mortgage loan processor or similar position
rnUnderstanding of loan underwriting and processing procedures
rnKnowledge of legislation and best practices
rnProficient in mortgage loan computer software (e.g. Calyx Point)
rnOutstanding communication and customer service skills
rnExcellent attention to detail
rnWell-organized and able to handle pressure
rnMath skills
rnHigh school diploma; bachelor’s will be preferred
rn
