Tourism officers are responsible for promoting tourism and devising tourist development initiatives/campaigns with the aim of generating and increasing revenue.

rnThe role of a tourism officer is a combination of marketing, public relations and management. It also involves lots of planning and preparation.
rnTypical responsibilities of the job include:
rn supervising staff
rn preparing tourist or visitor information
rn producing promotional material and displays
rn managing budgets
rn writing reports, business plans and press releases
rn making presentations
rn maintaining statistical and financial records
rn undertaking day-to-day centre management and administration
rn liaising with local businesses and the media
rn market research

rnApplicants should posses a minimum of SSCE,ND,NCE,HND and BSC in the relevant discipline.
rnMust be Residing in Lagos.
