Account receivable clerk - Orumba North

rnWe are looking for a skilled accounts receivable clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services and to ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations. You will process and monitor incoming payments and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
rnResponsibilities
rn• Keep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
rn• Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
rn• Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
rn• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
rn• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
rn• Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organisation by sending bill reminders and contacting clients with outstanding accounts
rn• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
rnRequirements
rn• Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk
rn• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
rn• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
rn• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
rn• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
rn• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
rn• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
rn• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
rn• HND/degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or similar field
