Assistant Logistics Officer - Ikeja

Job Description:
• Assist in the logistics office
• Manage all logistics operation including materials and transportation system to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Track and follow up shipments of building materials including in-bound and out-bound
• Manage the entire documentation concerning shipments for accurate record keeping and archival
• Liaise with shippers on Recovery of damage Materials incurred during importation and Ensure inventory management in store are in place
• Develop reports on building Material Movement and Proper Use of Materials distributed to sites
• Develop logistical plans for current operations and logistics contingency plans.
• Arrange Censorship (Payment, Application and proper communication on date and time
• Effective Trailer Distribution, Request of trailer list from sites, report on trailer list to Operations Manager.
• Ensure entire distribution system is effective and efficient
Qualification:
• At least ND/NCE from relevant field.
• Experience: 0-2 years' experience in logistics
Knowledge, Skills and Competency:
• Transportation - Knowledge of principles and methods for transporting goods, including the relative costs and benefits.
• Dependability - Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
• Must possess excellent communications skills (Emails, phone calls, sms etc)
• Must have good inter-personal skills
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Good information technology skills.
• Problem-solving skills and must be able to work under extreme pressure.
• Must exhibit time management skills and multi task.
• Must be able to give Feedback as often as possible.
• Must be able to do proper follow up on the movement of shipments
• A team player
• Must be a computer literate
